Governor Proposes Restoration of Some Non-TXIX SMI Services

Here's some good news. As the deadline in the Arnold stay agreement draws near, the Governor has proposed restoring $39 million in funding for non-TXIX SMI services. This is on top of funding already allocated for medication management and crisis services. Proposed use of the funding includes:

Medication and Medication Services
Crisis Services
Supported Employment
Case Management
Family and Peer Support
Supported Housing
Living Skills Training
Health Promotion
Personal Assistance
Respite Care

Full details can be found in the Governor's FY2013 budget summary (specifically, page 23).
